Kim Kelaita produces and creates segments for CNN’s highly acclaimed Vision. Kim has also produced several hard-hitting special reports, including the Iran-US conflict in June 2019. 


She is a regular contributor to CNN’s Inside the Middle East, CNN International, CNN World Sports, CNN World Business Today, and Connect the World from CNN’s Middle East hub in Abu Dhabi. Kim also produces news segments on local as well as international events and news stories in the Gulf region.  She has also done various interviews in the region with top CEO’s and business leaders. 


Kim is renowned for securing high-profile interviews, having gained CNN’s first exclusive interview with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for CNN’s World Business Today.


Before moving to Dubai, UAE, Kim worked as an anchor and reporter at New York 1’s 24-hour news channel and started her career in New York City at NBC’s “The Today Show” and was an NBC Page which is NBC’s coveted fellowship program. 


In 1994, Kim was nominated for a New York Emmy Award for her work as a reporter and producer on “Police Suicide” for an outstanding Multi-Part Hard News Story. 


In addition to her “day” job in television, Kim is also a former co-founder of Landmark Properties, which was sold in 2008. She also was a founding partner of MENA Properties. Today, she is a board advisor to Nomad Homes. A new tech real estate company which is going to change the way real estate is bought and sold in the region. 


Since 2016, Kim has been moderating regional panels with a focus on oil, gas, and energy. Moderating at a large number of global conferences, including, KPMG’s AGM, DUETS-FIM, Abu Dhabi Ports Authority, Abu Dhabi International Petroleum and Energy Conference (ADIPEC), EGYPS 2017, Thysseen-Krupp, and Elevate’s Women’s conference. 


Kim served as a board of trustee at the American School of Dubai from 2015-2018. In that role she worked on community relations, development and governance. 


Kim also serves as a board member at INARA. Co-founded by her CNN colleague Arwa Damon, INARA’s mission is to help bridge the gap in medical services for refugee children. 


She was also nominated for the UN Global Compact board and is a founding member of the UN Women Empowerment Principles in the UAE, promoting sustainability and gender parity in the private sector. 


Kim is also a graduate student at Northwestern University in Chicago studying a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration with a focus on Global Policy.

She has proudly called Dubai home for the past 25 years and lives in the Emirate with her 3 children.
